For this unforgettable event, we welcome special guest Cameron Crowe, the visionary writer-director behind the iconic film, to Healdsburg's local theaters True West and The Raven. Immerse yourself in the electricity of tour life through music and storytelling. Inspiration will be fueled by 7 local winery and 7 restaurant partners.

T.O.W.N. presents An Almost Famous Evening with Academy Award®-winning Writer & Director Cameron Crowe, benefiting True West Film Center, a non-profit organization. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Almost Famous, the full evening includes a seated dinner from TOWN featuring 7 restaurants and 7 wineries; a screening of Almost Famous followed by a Q&A with Cameron, legendary rock journalist Ben Fong-Torres, and True West’s John Cooper; and a live band covering ‘70s classics. Proceeds benefit True West Film Center, a non-profit organization offering educational programs and a full schedule of films in its modern jewel box cinema in downtown Healdsburg.

True West Film Center brings the transformative power of cinema to Northern California. With film screenings and events, educational programs offered year-round, and the Film Festival of Love presented by True West, we offer an inclusive space where everyone is welcome, everyone’s story is honored, and where we look to cinema to enrich our understanding of the human experience. Founded by a group of Cloverdale and Healdsburg film lovers in 2015, the non-profit organization continues to expand its audience and offerings each year. True West’s James Redford Campus opened in October 2025 at its downtown Healdsburg location (371 Healdsburg Avenue), and features a 3-screen cinema, inspired film programming, educational offerings, and spaces for community and private events. It is projected to welcome 45,000 through its doors annually.
